HOW WE ARE DIFFERENT

KEY FEATURES

  • Iceless – No need to use/replenish ice (maintenance free)
  • Water Reservoir Recyclization- Hassle free patient use. No need to monitor water levels or add additional liquid. Continued use through duration of treatment
  • Immediate Cooling (no "priming" necessary) - Allows for consistent temperature control 42°f  to 58°f
  • User Friendly “touch control” display screen
  • Multi-Modal thermal and compression functionality
  • Programmable TIME SETTINGS- Allows patients to utilize the device at their discretion (e.g. overnight)
  • Form-fitting wraps designed specifically for each joint.

Why NICE1 is right for you

  • Compliance - patients are more compliant when maintenance isn't required (e.g. adding more water/ ice)
  • Promote Faster Healing - decreases edema, improves lymphatic drainage and improves range of motion
  • Opioid Reduction - immediate pain relief, in turn, reducing medication intake
  • Compression - allows for zero compression, as well as static or intermittent cold compression. Three levels of compression (low, medium and high)
  • Mobility - the NICE unit is transport friendly. Dimensions;  8x8x8 and weighs 9 lbs.
  • Temperature Control – five levels of cold settings
  • Safety Feature – NO Thermal damage since unit cannot go below 42°f
  • Personal Settings – pre-set programming for “quick start” and overnight sessions

ITS YOUR BODY SO KNOW YOUR OPTIONS

Whether you experienced a work related injury or suffered a bone fracture during the big game, "icing an injury" has nearly become second nature. Surprisingly, it wasn't until the mid-80's that virtually every physician began recommending R.I.C.E. (Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation) after an injury or operation. To date, this still remains the standard home remedy for treating soft tissue injuries.

WHAT MOST DON'T KNOW IS....UNREGULATED COLD APPLICATIONS MAY RESULT IN SIGNIFICANT & IRREVERSIBLE TISSUE DAMAGE

Due to ice's cold property, applying directly to the body's injured area helps to reduce inflammation, but human tissue can only take so much. The cold application triggers the body's natural response to limit blood flow to the effected area. By reducing blood flow, you limit the amount of inflammation and inflammatory mediators which reduces swelling. In theory, icing via "ice cubes, ice packs or ice machines" seems adequate, but when unregulated, these applications can lead to further complications. Learn more about Ice-Burns and Frostbite here.
